nicht, ich:
Fired and unfired clay from the Bremen area.

The varying materiality becomes a metaphor for psychological states, irreversible hardness contrasts with malleable openness, stability encounters erosion.

The heads are positioned on narrow strips of aluminum foil, whose cold reflections create distance. None of the figures seeks “contact”; each exists on its own, fragmented, isolated, disconnected from any binding order.

This creates a feeling in the viewer in which their sense of identity eludes certainty.

The heads are roughly life-size, and the work was exhibited as part of my preliminary diploma at Galerie Flut (Bremen).
