Antonin Artaud - theatre of cruelty -interpretation:
In “Theatre of Cruelty,” Antonin Artaud attempted to rethink theater, to radically revolutionize it: through ecstasy, madness, and audience participation. But he never succeeded. The result was a fragmented, confused something that never crossed the threshold of classical theater. The typewriter ribbon symbolizes the conformity of theater as a medium. The work shows the necessity of a completely differentiated perspective from which someone must think in order to be able to radically change something, because otherwise it remains within the given framework and seems incomplete, like the second object.
